SONG PREMIERE: The Frozen Hellsicles come back with new album/Kickstarter (ends today!)

fh2

In the early days of Cellar Door, before this website existed, we were just trying our best to put out good local music. In 2008, The Frozen Hellsicles first album “Oh No, Wait A Minute” was the first individual band release we put out. After including their music on Cellar Door Volume II we decided that we needed more. The band had such a raw and powerful, yet funny and enthusiastic sound- think The Replacements with J Mascis on lead guitar and Iggy Pop singing, 0r as they described themselves “It’s like power slop, but with an edge.” (If you don’t recall, this is a quote from the classic film Airheads.) It was unlike anything we had ever heard before.

Years later, the band is back. They’ve just finished up recording their third full length called “Waiting To Die” and today is the last day to help fund it (they’ve got some fantastic rewards). Take a listen to one of the tracks off of the album below, and then CLICK HERE to check out the kickstarter!
